A fun and relaxed Irish and English wedding at Aldwick Estate, one of Bristol’s most beautiful vineyard wedding venues.

Claire and Andrew’s wedding at Aldwick Estate was such a brilliant day to be part of. As a Bristol wedding photographer, Aldwick Estate is one of those venues I always love photographing, with its beautiful vineyards, countryside views and relaxed atmosphere providing such a great backdrop. Claire and Andrew were an absolute joy to photograph too, two of the nicest people and genuinely so happy and smiley throughout the day.

I photographed their wedding using a mix of digital, 35mm film and medium format, which felt particularly well suited to the setting. The combination of the vineyards and beautiful natural light made Aldwick Estate the perfect venue for film photography, especially for portraits. There was something about the softer, more timeless feel of shooting some of these moments on film that worked perfectly with the surroundings.

The Irish and English mix brought plenty of energy to the celebrations, particularly once the dance floor opened! The team at Aldwick Estate were fantastic throughout the day too, helping everything run smoothly while allowing Claire, Andrew and their guests to simply enjoy themselves.

It was a real pleasure to capture this Aldwick Estate wedding across both digital and film, and a lovely reminder of why I love photographing weddings at relaxed and characterful venues around Bristol.
